C&C Group acquires Asahi UK wholesale businesses. C&C Group is acquiring Asahi UK’s wholesale units, including Nectar Imports, for nominal consideration. The deal adds significant new customers and supply contracts, strengthening C&C’s UK drinks distribution and on-trade presence.

Trainline maintains full-year outlook as first-half revenue holds steady amid strikes and heatwave disruption. Online rail ticketing platform Trainline saw first-half revenue dip 1% to £233m, with ticket sales flat at £3.3bn. UK sales were stable, while international sales fell 4%. A £100m share buyback was announced to support investor confidence.
