Airbnb Valued At US$1bn

The four-year-old online venture, which matches tourists with homeowners who want to rent out a spare room, has been valued at US$1bn after raising US$100m to fund expansion in the UK and Europe. Airbnb takes a cut of 6 to 12% from the tourist and 3% from the renter.
