Alibaba To Split China’s Biggest Retail Website

Chinese internet giant Alibaba has announced its plans to re-structure Taobao into three separate units. Taobao operates China’s biggest online shopping site, hosting 30,000 online stores, with 53,00 items sold every minute. Taobao will become Taobao Marketplace, Taobao Mall and and eTao, each with a different business focus.
