Apple’s App Store Hits Ten Billion Downloads

Apple’s App Store reached ten billion downloads over the weekend. The store sells 300,000 apps for the iPhone and about 40,000 for the iPad. Its closest rival is GetJar, which reached one billion downloads in June 2010.
