Asda May Offer £1.6bn For Iceland Foods

Britain’s second-biggest grocer has hired Lazard to help it mount a bid of up to £1.6bn for Iceland Foods. The Walmart-owned chain will face stiff competition, with both the Morrisons chain and Iceland’s founder also keen to acquire the frozen-food specialist.
