The Walmart-owned chain has seen like-for-like sales grow by 0.5% in the three months to June 30th, with operating income declining slightly due to the US$31m costs related to the acquisition of Netto stores. Asda has also announced that it is to create 7,000 Christmas jobs to serve customers throughout the busy festive period.
