Auction Interest Builds As Iceland Foods Sees Profits Rise

The frozen-food chain has posted a 20% rise in annual profit, increasing interest from rivals ahead of the sale of a majority stake in the business. Founder and chief executive Malcolm Walker, who has already made an offer for the chain, has stated that he would like to see the company remain independent. The chain is expected to reach up to £1bn.
