Audley Travel deal sees 3i replace Equistone

Listed private equity fund 3i has acquired a majority stake in Audley Travel for £159m, picking up the stake from Equistone Partners. The travel agent has seen revenues double to £165m since Equistone first invested in 2012. Sales rose 20% in the last year alone, while US sales now account for 10% of revenues.
