Campari to acquire French cognac brand Courvoisier in $1.2bn deal

Spirits group Campari has inked a deal with Beam Suntory to buy French cognac house Courvoisier for an initial price of $1.2bn. The move is part of Campari’s strategy to grow through acquisitions, and become a major player in the spirits segment.
