Cathay Pacific profits rise 68% despite doubling of jet fuel costs

The airline reported a 68% increase in attributable profit to HK$6.2bn for the first half of the year. It benefited from strong travel demand and increased transit traffic through Hong Kong as passengers sought alternative routing.
