Chairman And Founder Of Inditex Steps Down

Amancio Ortega, the 75-year-old chairman and founder of Zara’s parent company, is to step down. Pablo Isla, the group’s chief executive officer and deputy chairman since 2005, is to succeed him, although there is little doubt that Ortega will still have a lot of say as to the company’s direction, as he still controls the majority of Inditex’s shares.
