C&W Worldwide Acquired In £1bn Takeover

Vodafone has become the new owner of Cable & Wireless Worldwide after securing a £1bn takeover deal. The purchase will give Vodafone a fixed-line network in the UK. Vodafone became the only bidder for the company after India’s Tata Communications pulled out of the process last week.
