The British department store, which opened its first outlet in India with franchisee Planet Retail Holdings in 2007, has announced plans to expand rapidly in the country. Alongside its franchisee, Debenhams is to open 15 stores across eight cities in the next two and a half years, and is to include Indian fashion designers for the first time.
