Debenhams To Take On 6,500 Workers Over Christmas

The department store chain is to take on an average of 40 temporary workers per store over the busy Christmas period, running from mid-November to early January. Michael Sharp, chief executive of Debenhams, said: “Approximately a quarter of staff that work with us over the festive season will stay on in permanent roles, making this a crucial period in our employment calendar.”
