EasyJet rejects £4.7bn Castlelake bid as US investor goes public with latest takeover offer

EasyJet has declined a £4.7bn takeover proposal from US-based Castlelake, which valued shares at a 59% premium. The budget airline’s shares rose 3.2% after the offer was made public, ahead of a regulatory deadline.
