EasyJet reports first-half loss up to £560m amid fuel cost rises

The budget airline reported a first-half pre-tax loss of £540 – 560m, significantly wider than the £394m loss in the prior year. Rising fuel prices from Middle East tensions and £30m in legal provisions drove the result, with forward bookings also slowing.
