Full-year earnings rise 40% at Carnival

Carnival Corporation, the cruise ship operator whose brands include Cunard and P&O Cruises, saw full year earnings rise to US$2.1bn, up from US$1.5bn in 2014. The profit increase came despite a fall in overall revenues from US$15.9bn to US$15.7bn, which the company attributed to a US$800m hit from unfavourable exchange rates.
