Greggs warns on profit

The bakery chain says it expects full year operating profit to be ‘modestly’ below 2024 levels as the heatwave in June dented sales. Total sales were up 6.9% to £1.03bn for the 26 weeks to 28 June and like-for-like sales rose 2.6%.
