Haldane Retail Group Sells Ugo Chain

The discount retail chain is to be sold to an unnamed but “well established” retailer this Friday, according to reports. Ugo’s owner, Haldane Retail Group, put the chain of 20 stores up for sale in September. Arthur Harris, chief executive of Ugo, is said to be “over the moon” that the 350 staff will keep their jobs as part of the deal.
