HSBC names Clara Furse as chairman of retail, commercial and private bank HSBC UK

She will being the role in April and will oversee the separation of the unit from the existing HSBC Bank in 2018. She sat on the financial policy committee of the Bank of England for over three years before stepping down from the role this week.
