Hulu’s Owners Take The Site Off The Market

Disney, News Corp, Comcast and Providence Equity Partners have taken the online TV site, which they jointly own, off the market. Despite receiving offers from Google, Amazon and Dish Networks, Hulu failed to reach the US$2bn asking price, with the condition of guaranteed streaming rights for only a couple of years. Google is thought to have offered up to double this figure on the basis of securing guaranteed streaming rights for much longer.
