JD.com delivers higher profits in second quarter

The major Chinese e-commerce platform saw Q2 operating income rise to RMB4.5bn (£518.5m) from a loss last year, while revenues fell 2.9% to RMB346.4bn (£37.85bn). Net income grew to RMB7.1bn (£5.2bn), driven by retail and food delivery.
