JD Sports flags muted outlook as profit falls despite higher annual sales

Pre-tax profit fell 12% to £629m, while sales rose 12% to £12.7bn. The retailer guided £750m–850m profit for next year amid weak spending and potential Iran war cost pressures. UK organic sales declined and 24 stores closed, offset by 107 net US openings.
