Lenovo Posts 88% Leap In Profits

The Chinese PC firm has reported an 88% rise in quarterly profits, reaching US$143.9m on the back of strong sales in emerging markets. Lenovo has also increased its market share, going from fourth place to second in the PC market, overtaking Dell for the first time. The firm also announced that its chairman, Liu Chuanzhi, was stepping down, with chief executive Mr Yang taking on the role in addition to his existing position.
