Microsoft Hits Targets And Increases Haul

Microsoft has announced that it has sold 60 million Windows 8 licenses since its launch as its cash reserves grow from US$5bn to US$68bn in just six months. Whilst the arrival of Windows 8 stimulated this success, analysts point to continued popularity of older versions as people upgrade to Windows 7 before Microsoft ends support for Window XP.
