Mogujie to acquire Meilishuo in new merger

China’s social ecommerce platform Mogujie will take over Meilishuo, a similar Chinese site, to form a new company with annual sales of US$3bn. The new company will be headed by the cofounder and CEO of Mogujie, Chen Qi, and internet giant Tencent will increase its sharehold.
