PE firms value Starbucks China at up to $5bn in initial bids

Private equity firms including Carlyle, EQT and Bain Capital have submitted non-binding offers valuing Starbucks China at around $5bn, or roughly 10 times projected 2025 EBITDA. Starbucks plans to retain a significant stake amid rising local competition.
