PepsiCo Announces Mid-Calorie Cola Trial

The trial of ‘Pepsi Next’, which will contain 60% less sugar than the standard cola, will begin in the US this summer. In 2004 PepsiCo launched its first mid-calorie offering with ‘Pepsi Edge’ but the drink failed to take off.
