Sainsbury’s made bid for Home Retail Group in November

Sainsbury’s has revealed that it made an approach to buy Argos and Homebase owner Home Retail Group in November, but that the proposal was rejected. Sainsbury’s reported that it is now considering its position. It has been working with HRG to trial a number of Argos concessions in its stores in the past year.
