Sainsbury’s Sees Major Changes

Group development director, Darren Shapland, has announced that he will stand down from his position in July. Luke Jensen, currently managing director for non-food, will take over from Shapland. Former Littlewoods executive, James Brown, has been appointed to head up the retailer’s clothing division, with a replacement for Jensen yet to be found. Chief executive Justin King will assume responsibility for the convenience business, whilst chief financial officer John Rogers will take on property for the group.
