Shein posts quarterly loss as US sales slow and costs rise ahead of Hong Kong IPO

The online retailer reported a $99m net loss for Q1 2026, reversing a $395m profit last year. Revenue rose 8% to $41.85bn but growth slowed. US sales were hit by the end of the de minimis exemption, while active customers rose 16% to 281 million.
