Soaring fuel costs impact Lufthansa in Q1

The German airline has posted adjusted losses before interest and taxes of €591m in the first quarter, well over analysts’ estimates of €558m. Lufthansa attributes the figure to rising fuel costs, which cancelled out revenue gains from travel rebound.
