Strong quarter for Disney theme parks

Walt Disney Co has reported solid quarterly results, with the theme park division performing well, boosting operating profits 7% to $687m – a lift attributable to higher spending and attendance at US parks. The consumer products division also recorded a profit jump, up 10% to $416m, driven by licensing revenue from film merchandise.
