Superdrug adds 600 jobs and grows profits despite wage and tax pressures

The health and beauty retailer increased staff by over 600 and opened 13 stores in 2024, with pre-tax profit rising 9% to £136.8m. It cited wage inflation and National Insurance hikes as cost challenges amid a tough retail environment.
