Supermarket Price War Steps Up As Sainsbury’s Unveils ‘Brand Match’ Promotion

Following the launch of Tescos’ £500m ‘Big Price Drop’ two weeks ago, Sainsbury’s has unveiled the ‘Brand Match’ promotion set to launch this Wednesday. The retailer has installed price comparison systems at till points and is to offer shoppers a voucher for the difference in price if items would have been cheaper elsewhere.
