In its first financial results since Philip Clarke took the helm as chief executive, the supermarket retailer has posted pre-tax profits of £3.54bn for the year to 26th February 2011, up 11% on the previous year. Sales in Asia and Europe contributed nearly 70% to profit growth for the period.
