The troubled travel group Thomas Cook has appointed a former food company executive as the new chairman, following a series of high-level departures. Frank Meysman, 59, from Belgium, will take the reins from incumbent chairman, Michael Beckett when he retires in December. Mr Meysman most recently worked as executive vice-president of Sara Lee, the food manufacturer.
