United Airlines cuts 2026 capacity by five percentage points on fuel costs

United reported first-quarter revenue of $14.6bn despite volatile oil prices, driven by 14% growth in premium travel demand. The carrier is reducing planned 2026 capacity to manage elevated fuel costs whilst maintaining profitability.
