US private equity firm Advent International acquires Italy’s IRCA

Advent International has agreed to purchase IRCA from investment giant Carlyle for an undisclosed amount. IRCA supplies speciality ingredients for pastries, cakes and gelatos to patisseries and restaurants across more than 100 countries.
