Waitrose to open first South West distribution hub under £1bn investment plan

The grocery retailer will open a DHL-run distribution centre in Avonmouth, Bristol, in early 2027, serving around 50 shops. The site forms part of a £1bn programme to improve availability through logistics, automation and AI-led forecasting.
