Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

This statement is published by The MBS Group Limited in relation to the financial year ending 31 March 2027. While we are not legally required to publish a statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we do so voluntarily as part of our commitment to responsible and ethical business practices.

The MBS Group is a UK-based executive search and leadership advisory firm. We are committed to acting with integrity and to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking do not take place within our business or, so far as is reasonably practicable, within our supply chain.

Our business and supply chain

As a professional services organisation, our operations are people-focused and based primarily in the UK. Our supply chain is relatively limited and consists mainly of business support services such as IT providers, professional advisers, and office-related suppliers.
We consider the overall risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be low. However, we recognise that risks can still arise in certain service areas and remain mindful of this in how we work with suppliers.

Our approach

We take a proportionate approach to preventing modern slavery, reflecting the nature and scale of our business. During the year, this has included:
• maintaining fair and lawful employment practices,
• carrying out right to work checks for employees,
• working with reputable suppliers and service providers, and
• the availability of raising any concerns through internal management or HR channels.
We expect those we work with to operate in line with applicable laws and to uphold appropriate standards of conduct. We seek to use Approved Supplier List (ASL) and where possible seeks to use ASL suppliers instead of new suppliers. ASL status means at a minimum that there is a valid contract in place with a supplier and that they have been the subject of a risk assessment process which includes, where applicable, verification that the supplier has in place an adequate code of conduct, background check and compliance policies as well as all required business licenses. Through the ASL we can minimise the risk of unethical practices (including slavery and human trafficking) from being introduced into the supply chain.

Looking ahead

We will continue to review our approach on an annual basis to ensure it remains appropriate. This may include strengthening supplier expectations and maintaining awareness of modern slavery risks within the business.
