Operating across 10 hospitals and community services, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) provides care to almost one million people from Manchester, Trafford and beyond. Following the launch of a new Organisational Strategy, a refresh of the Operating Model, and delivery of a multi-year recovery plan, MFT is building towards a new future delivering benefits for patients through collaborative and joined up service provision.
We are looking for a talented executive leader to be responsible for the delivery of services from the Manchester Royal Infirmary Clinical Group (MRI).
Reporting to the Trust CE, the MRI CE is a crucial leader who will create impact at both a Trust wide level and in the leadership of the MRI site. The successful candidate will lead an experienced site executive team in delivering a comprehensive range of complex adult secondary and tertiary, prioritising excellence, efficiency, value and patient centred care. Our new MRI CE will work closely with external and internal stakeholders to maximise our partnerships and support our work.
As an active member of the Trust Leadership Team, the successful candidate will contribute at Group level to the strategic direction of the Trust and ensure that MRI contributes to and advances the ambitions of the Board. You will have significant senior management experience in acute provider settings, with a track record of achievement in delivering positive change in acute environments and operational performance improvement.
Main Duties
- Provide highly credible and visible operational and strategic leadership with full responsibility for the effective delivery of services within the Manchester Royal Infirmary Clinical Group.
- Take overall responsibility and accountability for the management of clinical operations within the MRI Clinical Group with a relentless focus on providing high-quality, safe, efficient, and financially sustainable patient services
- Identify, understand, and address variation and inequalities in the quality of care and outcomes of patients ensuring improved services for all patients and communities.
- Responsibility for building and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is integral to the success of the Clinical Group.
- Specifically contribute to the development and delivery of the Trust’s strategy alongside taking responsibility for designated trust-wide objectives.
