ABF reports in-line festive trading with mixed divisional performance. ABF said group revenue for the 16 weeks to 3 January was £6.8bn and in line with expectations, with Retail up 4.2% while Ingredients, Sugar and Agriculture declined. At Primark, total sales grew 1%, driven by the US and UK despite weaker Europe.
B&M trims outlook despite improving festive trading. The value retailer said Q3 revenue rose 2.9%, with December delivering positive like-for-like growth, but cut full-year guidance as it steps up investment in pricing and stock clearance to support a longer-term reset.
