Ben Smith to lead Sainsbury’s clothing division. Previously Matalan Chief Trading Officer, Ben is set to replace Christine Kasoulis as Business Unit Director, Clothing & Home, who announced she was leaving the business in January.
Panerai CEO steps down. Jean-Marc Pontroué has announced he is stepping down as CEO at the Italian watchmaker, and leaving Richemont after 25 years at the business. A successor has not yet been announced.
KKR and Warburg Pincus bid for Gerresheimer. The consortium has reportedly submitted a non-binding bid for Gerresheimer AG, which makes pens for weight loss injection drugs. The bid values the company at nearly €3.1bn, but the takeover isn’t guaranteed. The private equity funds have not commented.
