Online travel agency Booking.com profits from busy summer travel

Booking.com reported higher-than-expected profits of $776m in the quarter ending 30 June, while also posting a 57% jump in gross travel bookings. The company has benefited from consumers’ appetite for travel despite rising air fares and hotel tariffs.
