Boards of the Future: why the Board of the future should be the Board of today – and how to build it

The MBS Group is delighted to present Boards of the Future, a first-of-its kind piece of thought leadership challenging businesses to think differently about their non-executive board.

The publication, Boards of the Future: why the Board of the future should be the Board of today — and how to build it, is based upon conversations with more than 100 Chairs and non-executive directors, and is a call to action for Chairs to think differently and act swiftly.

The personal manifesto of Moira Benigson, who founded The MBS Group 30 years ago, Boards of the Future suggests that boards should no longer be limited to corporate governance, auditing and oversight, but be responsible for guiding businesses through uncertainty, thinking creatively about the future, and asking deep-rooted questions about an organisation’s place in – and responsibility to – society.  To achieve this deeper meaning of governance, businesses must embrace a new NED profile and optimum Board composition.
